About

A Growth Mindset is a blog focused on all things personal growth and development, providing you free content to help you live your best life. Through the blog posts, we’ll explore subjects such as health, confidence, alcoholism, communication, relationships, money, and more.

The term “growth mindset” comes from psychologist Carol Dweck’s 2006 book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. In this book, Dweck talks about a fixed mindset vs. a growth mindset, the former meaning that a person believes that he or she is born with a set amount of knowledge and capabilities, whereas the latter believes that he or she can grow and evolve and change through training, learning and/or hard work.

By having a growth mindset, we are able to develop personally – to learn new ways of managing finances or stress; developing our health and wellness; or setting goals and intentions, for example – because we believe we are capable of learning new ways to do these things. We believe we can change – that the way things are are not necessarily how they always have to be if we don’t want them to be.

So come on in, sit down, grab your coffee or a snack, and read along each week as I share my experience with these different topics. You’ll be glad you did. *wink*
